If he's trying to act like he is a god, or make them look like they're the gods. ooooohhhhh I hope they don't take that personally. they have a tendency to get really annoyed when people act like they're on the same level as them. I'm talking about in the movie for the record, they probably wouldn't mind actors playing them, then it's a compliment or a tribute. But still, if in the movie it ended with Zeus frying the whole party with one blot then. well it'd be a twist anyhow.

1 word. AWSOME. Watch Yhteinen sÃval d'oise. Military Wives was just absolutely brilliant. From the moment it started to the rolling credits, I did not move, I was 100% enthralled with the characters and the relationships they had. I cried many many times throughout, found bits heartbreaking, but still I came away feeling lighter with a warm glow inside.
I laughed, I cried and I cried some more. The last film I saw that was that moving, was Kramer vs Kramer. I loved it.

My boyfriend is going to Korea in a couple months, and Im so nervous about not being able to see him for so long. Were already living in separate states still right now, and Im not able to move to him until right before he leaves too. right now theyre saying hell still be able to make it home for Christmas maybe but Im thinking its not gonna happen, its gonna be so hard with such far time zones and everything. I hope by the time I move Ill have enough friends where Im at so Im not so lonely. I think the dislikes are more aimed towards hatred of the war rather than the individuals who support their loved ones going out there to serve Take a second to think about the fact that they go out there for their duty and they dont come back every evening and spend time with their children. I hate war, I resent soldiers going in my country and my brothers' and sisters' countries, but it is the proponents of war (prime minister, presidents) whom I shall complain to, not these wonderful heroes.

I never watched the Choir when it was on tv but it is a truly stunning and moving story and this should be number one- absolutely fantastic. I asked Bob, he said: Bob's your uncle. lol. Watch Yhteinen satellite. I had a family member in the army who got married right before moving to live on base together. He made a friend there who was also married. Dont know the nitty gritty details, but they basically both divorced, switched wives, and remarried. Him and 2nd wife are still together years later with children, so I guess it worked out for the best🤷‍♀️. Military Wives is as formulaic as movies go, regardless the film is surprisingly good and it uses the formula really well. However it never aspires to be anything else preventing it from becoming a classic amongst the genre.
I haven't been familiar with the true story but from the start, you just know where it is all gonna go. It still works well but nothing is a surprise because of that. It still has some great moments and a fair amount of heart
It is seriously enjoyable and it is a likeable movie with a great cast. Kristen Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan are great here.
I'm sure there are many people who will like this film. I just can't see that much greatness in it. It's formulaic and does it's best to be a lovely and charming film but it does it in such a manipulative way, and I hate it when films do that. It is still worth watching though.

Watch Yhteinen sÃvel satis. Sharon and Kirsten are superb. It's a moving story of friendship under pressure of military life, war and pain, with a lovely musical backing track.
Funny, witty, poignant and for me very emotional.
